June 2020

Orphée by C. W. Gluck – Postponed

June 17 - June 20
The Hungarian House, 213 E. 82nd Street, New York City + Google Map

A storytelling version of Gluck’s, Orphée (French version).

The program includes the best known arias and ensemble pieces from this beloved opera with additional narration. In Gluck’s hands, the epic Greek tragedy of Orpheus and Euridice escapes from the demons of the Underworld into the sunshine of a happy ending.

The first performance of Orphée was an intimate house concert on December 15, 2016, in New York City.  Further concerts planned for June 2020 are postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
